The center will serve as part of the arrival sequence for visitors arriving by the new bullet-train. The building will introduce visitors to the culture, industry, and natural resources of Tianjin, once hailed as the emperor's stronghold. The new building will complement the architecture of the neighboring Tianjin Transit Station by responding to its curved facade. As proposed, the Center will feature indoor spaces to accommodate a sanctuary garden with water features, rose gardens, a performance space, and an exhibition venue. Office space will be provided for tour operators within the city.
